Within the intensely competitive realm of video games, it's typical for new contenders to fade away as rapidly as they explode onto the stage.
Yet this new installment is striving to alter that.
This is the most recent addition in a established combat FPS line often described as a more authentic response to Call of Duty.
The title has never quite managed to equal its most famous competitor in aspects of units sold or user base, but there are signs the new installment could narrow the difference.
An early access event enabling players a chance to experience the game in recent months set new benchmarks, and the excitement heading into its launch has been massive.
However the project is nevertheless a big gamble for company Electronic Arts, which has allegedly invested vast amounts of funds developing it.
Our team has spoken to some of the developers to discover how they hope it will succeed.
Several teams are working on the title under the collaborative initiative.
They include long-time producer the original team, located in Sweden, California's Motive developers and Ripple Effect in Canada.
The fourth, the Guildford team, is based in England.
The general manager is the general manager of the both EU-based teams, and explains to our team that, in regards of what it's providing users, "the latest installment is likely unsurpassed."
The game follows the heels of the sci-fi the previous game, launched in the past to a poor feedback it found it hard to overcome.

"This whole approach has been a fresh take but additionally really thrilling because we are partnering with team members from all over the world."
Concerning the expectation on the developers, the director comments: "We feel pressure but at the same time it's thrilling.
"This is a large project. It's likely the most significant that many of us have previously participated in."
That's definitely accurate of no less than a single developer, VFX specialist Vlad Kokhan.
The 21-year-old produces the lighting elements that define the mood, style, and narrative of the story mode.
The artist undertook an internship at the developer before getting a position with them, and now works part-time while finishing his digital arts qualification at his school.
The developer states he's a long-time supporter of the games, and recollects enjoying the earlier title of the series at a pal's home when he was a child.
Working on it now, as his initial professional role, "is hard to believe as tangible."
"It's really amazing seeing the advertising all around," he says.
"Realizing that I have added my personal touch into the project is really dreamlike."
