Person That Touched Ariana Grande during Film Launch Prohibited from Singapore

A man from Australia who jumped across a fence and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, aged 26, was sentenced to more than a week in jail for causing a public disturbance and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities informed Singaporean press.

Wen pushed through camera crews and charged at the celebrity, who was present at the Asian debut for the film on November 13. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

He has a background of causing disturbances at events and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The event sparked outrage in Singapore, with numerous people accusing him of triggering past trauma for the singer.

The pop star has discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a explosive incident at her show in the English city in spring of 2017 resulted in the deaths of over twenty people and affected hundreds.

Throughout the court proceedings, the judge was informed he had tried to gain access on the red carpet event on two occasions, according to local news sources.

He then made a another effort to breach security. Security staff prevented him and pinned him down.

He then uploaded videos thanking Grande for permitting his access and said he was "at liberty."

Law enforcement arrested him the next day and accused him with public nuisance, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The District Judge Christopher Goh was quoted by Channel News Asia as remarking that the man sought attention, noting that he was wrong to think he would not experience repercussions.

The actress has not addressed the case.

The co-star spoke about the incident to a media outlet, remarking that she "just wanted to ensure my co-star was protected."

"I'm sure he had no intention to us harm, but you can't predict with those things, and I aimed to ensure that she was alright. That was my immediate response," she said.
