Performer Refutes Anti-Vaccine Position After Lending His Voice To Controversial Pandemic Documentary

Liam Neeson has provided his voice to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the safety of immunizations and praises ex- government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Disputed Foundation

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a bestselling book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the global outbreak for assertions that the illness was caused by a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

The publication's co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial figure Alex Jones. The producer wrote online praising Neeson's role in the project.

A Firm Denial

Representatives for Liam Neeson have issued a comment pushing back against suggestions that he subscribes to anti-immunization views.

"Everyone can acknowledge that corruption may occur within the medical sector, but that cannot be equated to opposition to vaccines," the statement reads. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His long work with the UN children's agency underscores his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response noted that the performer had no hand in the film's editorial content and that concerns about its content ought to go to the producers.

Central Assertions Within the Feature

In the film, the voiceover provided by Neeson features several strong statements:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have called for "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
  • It posits that "medical science has become deeply politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is shown saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
  • The narration further attacks stay-at-home orders, claiming they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it cites a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Context and Ongoing Debates

It further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the topic of a formal apology by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

Recently, Kennedy instructed the CDC to change its official position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is echoed in the documentary, contrary to a recent study from the WHO reiterating no such link has been found.

An Earlier Position of Support

Standing in contrast to the film's tone, Neeson has in the past voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "an incredible achievement," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in human history."

The film concludes with Neeson's narration stating, "This isn't the finish of our narrative. This is the start of a different phase."
